Reenactor Dictionary

"Farby Darby": (noun) A garishly over dressed male Civil War reenactor, frequently shows up to events uninvited, appears to have no unit affiliation. Known for his gentlemanly manners, pleasant disposition and outrageously Southern accent. May have an abnormally large feather plume on his slouch hat, black knee-high jackboots or other items inappropriate for his military branch.  Also known to wear an excessive amount of brass insignia and/or medals on his coat, of unknown origin. Frequently mistaken for an officer in a camp setting, whose only real job appears to be directing spectators to the restroom facilities.
