CIVIL WAR REENACTING

Dressing like the Amish, sleeping on the ground, wearing heavy wool coats in 100 degree weather, shooting black powder rifles at things, pretending to be a dead person, fighting a messy war over and over again expecting different results, and debating endlessly about issues that ceased to be political concerns 150 years ago.

Follow the adventure of one such "living dead person" as he examines one of our country's oldest pastimes: adults playing Army and recreating the deadliest conflict in American history. For reasons nobody can fully understand or explain, in front of a crowd of spectators and charging admission.

Welcome to the United States of America.
